Cleansers, serums, moisturizers, and sun block creams are basic skin care products that are commonly found in most women’s vanity kits. Most of us also have eyebrow pencils, eyeliner, and eyeglasses carried in our purse.
However, there is one skin care essential that is often overlooked by those who desire great looking skin, the eye cream. This beauty cream is used to combat signs of aging like wrinkles and dry skin especially under the eyes. Some women wait until their 30s or 40s before starting on their eye care regimen, but women who would like a head start in looking younger than their age can benefit from having an eye cream in their beauty routine as early as their 20’s. After all, why wait for wrinkles to appear when one can already work on delaying them.

Eye Creams
Eye Creams are formulated to moisturize and preserve the natural elasticity of the skin around the eyes. Some women assume that their facial moisturizer is already enough to cover these needs for the whole face. What they don’t realize is that the eye area has thinner skin and lesser oil glands than the rest of the face. It also has tiny muscles and vessels that make it more sensitive and would therefore require special care and its own cream. But since there are a lot of eye cream formulations around, it is important for buyers to find one that match their skin care needs.
Common skin issues in the eye area include puffiness, dark circles, fine lines and wrinkles. Most of the eye creams available in the market today claim to address all four issues but there are also those who specialize on hiding fine lines and wrinkles. Olay and RoC are two eye cream brands that offer some practical options for eye cream shoppers.

Eye Serums
Eye serums combat puffiness, dullness, and dark circles, serums often boast a higher concentration of active ingredients. That being said, they are better at minimizing dark circles and puffiness, eye creams work to combat these problems as well along with moisturizing the under eye area. They contain more oil and tends to be more absorbed by the skin.
Eyelash Serums
You can definitely use a good mascara for your eyelashes to give your eyes a more lively look. Falsies are also good, but it gets tiring to do, that’s why using eyelash serum is the best go to. Eyelash serum helps strengthen the lashes, prevent fallout, and probably make them grow to their fullest potential and volume with the most natural look.
Oils
Another game-changer for those with dry and sensitive skin in the eye area would be oils. It just needs more care to apply, and you need to pick which one suits your skin best. Eye oils do not contain water or water-based ingredients; eye creams do,” says Dr. Hadley King, a dermatologist at Day Dermatology & Aesthetics in New York City. Oils are best if you already use creams to moisturize the eye area.

The RoC Retinol Correxion Eye Cream is popular among younger women or those in their 20s to 30s, while the RoC Multi Correxion Eye Treatment also got good reviews for eliminating both dark circles and wrinkles. This brand also has a formulation for skin types that are sensitive to Retinol, the RoC Retinol Correxxion Sensitive Eye Care.
