Don’t you sometimes think that Barbie dolls were made to inflict mental torture on the average woman? Sure, they’re fun to play with as a little girl, but as you grow up and your body develops, you realize that that plastic icon of beauty isn’t what real life is all about. That tiny waist and those perky breasts simply defy the laws of science. While you’re waiting for your kick ass workout to finally manifest its effects on your body, you can still turn heads by wearing the right fashion pieces to flatter your figure.
If you’re not so blessed up top, you can give off the illusion of bigger breasts by drawing the attention to your chest. You can wear tops with ruffles at the bust line. Push up bras are not the end all and be all.
If you happen to be pear-shaped, you can skim those hips by wearing tops with hemlines which end at either just right on top of the widest part of your hip, or a little below it. Plain and printed tunics can do the trick. There’s a wide selection of form flattering tunics which don’t make you look like you’re wearing a tent. Choose those which have side vents, so they don’t cling to your thighs and butt. A bit of tapering around the waist and a wide neckline helps to balance things out. You can pair off your tunic with a form-fitting denim jacket which hits just below your waist. This will make your curves stand out.
A silk top is a good camouflage piece if you’re carrying a bit of excess weight around the midsection. Those which are loose around the middle but fitted around the chest and arms will look great on you.
Finding pieces to suit your figure and style may be somewhat of a daunting task. You can always opt to shop online, where it’s easier to find what you need. Most websites offer sales and other promotions too, so be sure to check those out. Once you’ve found what suits you, wear it with confidence. Nobody will ever guess that you have figure flaws.
